What will it be like? From 4x10 to 2x12

I'm contemplating going from an Eden 410 to a GB Uber 212. Unfortunately in Kona there isn’t any GB 2x12s to be had so I'm going the bay way. Right now I've found a pretty good deal on an Uber 212 and free shipping to HI.

Anyway what would be the sonic advantage a/ disadvantage of doing this. I currently am playing a Fender 50s RI pbass through a GB Shtl 9 to my Eden. Just curious as to what I can expect?

Is the Uber 212 crisp and tight at the low end - not too concerned with mid highs as i always quelsh the tweeter on my cabs. I DO NOT WANT A MUDDY CAB, been there, done that.

Chances are, it will sound clearer and better. May not be as loud.

A vertical alignment of two drivers is generally and most often superior to a "square" of several drivers.

The Uber 212 is one of my all-time favorite bass cabs. It's loud, clear, punchy, and sorta low-mid heavy. The "average" 4x10 will be slightly louder than the "average" 2x12, but the Uber series are NOT average cabs, rather top-notch. Do it without worry.

The stacked driver design will offer a different kind of projection, some might say better.

A 2x12 will be lighter, especially if the 12's are neos.

A efficiently designed 2x12 can be just as loud as a 4x10 given that you're compairing the two with equal wattage.

2- 1-12 neos would be better. Forget the 410
