What would be causing this???

Here is a soundbite of the harmonics at the 5th fret. The G and D string sound OK, but there is a noticeable 'oscillation' on the A string and E strings. Any ideas or info appreciated.

First off, each time you play a harmonic on one string, make sure the other three are properly muted so there is no out-of-tune sympathetic vibration.

Check for twisted strings (E and A). And once you make sure there is no twist, reset the witness points on E and A.

Not sure what bass you’re using. Most Jazz basses do a weird oscillation if the pickups are too close to the string

Most Basses do the ocsillation thing if the pickups are too close to the strings
