What would happen?

Im running a GK 400rb thru am SWR Workingmans 410t. Love the tone. Gets plenty of volume for rehearsal. Havent gigged with it yet, but, it seems like its a lot more powerful than advertised.

So the band is ramping up to start gigging out, local bars, maybe an outside gig or two, no PA support.

Would I keep the great tone and get more volume if I added a second SWR 410t? I think Ive asked this before but cant find it in my search or older posts. May have been under my old user account, not sure.

Anyway, just curious if this would be a workable solution for a bar gig. Thanks in advance!

Adding speakers is almost always going to produce more volume than adding watts, and I suspect (but don't know for a fact) that your GK head is capable of pushing that cab pretty near its limits anyway. So, if you really need more volume, I'd suggest adding another cab.

With that said, I'd consider playing a few gigs and finding out if you really need the additional volume before shelling out the $ for another cab. My local used music equipment store is full of huge amps that people found out they didn't really need.
