What would you do in this case?

Ps
I'm a gadget geek too. For the first few weeks I would just pull out the cell phone and just go through the menu and find out the capabilities. It's a basic phone and my brother predicts I will have a full blown smart phone before the end of the year. (He said that in 2009)

Actually, after three days I'm feeling like upgrading this one with another with music/video player, expandable memory and camera picture quality other than VGA.

So,...sounds like the phone (or an upgrade) may be a keeper?

Other than making calls and only a little bit of texting, I use it as an MP3 player the most. Sound is terrible with the phone speaker, but not bad at all with some ear-bud headphones. Camera/video is cool too, but I don't use it that much.

Get a phone you'll be happy with. I know wouldn't mind getting the latest greatest phone, but I really don't need any of that. I'm near a computer all day long so paying for a plan with web browsing and all those features would just be a waste of money. Cool and tempting, though.

Well, at least I can say that right now I'd like to know if cell phone companies offer the option of giving the previous phone as part of the payment for a new one.

Exactly my case. :)

I'm not sure about a trade in program, but it can't hurt to ask.

One other option is looking for an unlocked (unlocked phone works with any carrier) phone online at places like Amazon.com. For about $100.00 U.S. you can find a phone with everything you're looking for. It may be a better deal.

Talking about gadgets. I've been looking at Bluetooth capable radios for my car. :scowl: :D
