What year did you start playing bass?

1979, 14 years old. My parents had just moved us from a small, rural town (pop. 250) to a medium sized city. I went from a school with 60 kids to a school with 800 kids. Total eye-opener. The first two people I met there said they were putting a band together and needed a bass player. I already loved music and jumped in head first. Haven't stopped since.

1964. I was 11. No amp and had no clue what to do with it. Now I have amps and still no clue….
