Christmas movie double feature of Die Hard and Violent Night with the kid.
Even after repeated viewings this is still a great movie to watch.
Tonight:
"The Maple Syrup Heist," which is s01ep05 of "Dirty Money" on Netflix. Haven't seen the rest but syrup in Canada seems serious business. But, like, adorably violent and serious.
Started s05 of "Fargo." I dig it, but I also have seen the movie a ton. I've seen all but one season, and the conventions get so familiar, and yet the story and writing carries it. So far so good.
EDIT: Oh, and "The Midnight Gospel" for the 4-10th time, because that is one of the most phenomenal and touching pieces of media to be produced.

Speaking of maple syrup, 'Sweet as Maple Syrup' is a feel good happy ending love story about a maple farm in Vermont.
New Hampshire maple syrup is better than Vermont by the way.

I love Mr Rogers and Hanks both. But I have had no desire to watch this for some reason.
I saw Poor Things. I liked it a lot. I like The Lobster and The Favourite better, but this was very good. Remember what Robert Downey Jr told Ben Stiller about going full .....? Well Emma Stone went full ..... But it worked. Good movie.
I think many people think it is about Mr. Rogers and his children's show (which, no doubt, it can't be totally separated from Fred, himself), but the movie is more about adults with anger management issues. This is very much an adult film that deals with very real adult issues.
"Northpole":
Yes, it's a Hallmark Christmas movie, and yes, it's sappy, but IMO, it's good sappy! It's mercifully short on romance and positively long on Christmas spirit and magic. This kind of movie is my year-end escape from cynicism and negativity. I enjoy feeling like a kid again this time of year!

Since the beginning of December, my wife has had Hallmark Christmas movies on. She seen most of 'em before. I enjoy some of them. But it's morning 'til night 'round here this time o' year LOL. It's her enjoyment in this holiday time, so that's cool. I'm usually doing something else or under headphones.
Recent evenings have been our usual annual selections of Christmas movies. So far we've been thru "A Christmas Carol" (1938) and (1951), "Polar Express", "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (1966 Boris Karloff narration), White Christmas (1954).
Tonight is "It's a Wonderful Life" (1946), and maybe "Miracle on 34th Street". Christmas evening is "A Christmas Story" (1983). "A Charlie Brown Christmas" DVD hasn't arrived yet (Poopy!) LOL
Christmas, early morning before sunrise, is for me. Wife will still be sleeping. Only the Christmas tree lights will be on in the dark quiet. No TV, computer, cell phone, while a choir sings. I don't know why, but this personal tradition appeals to me. Reverential music and solitude to think and reflect, I suppose.
This year's choice.:
Back on topic, watching right now? Buccaneers whip some Jaguars patootie in American football.
Wishing all of you well and good fortune.

Everything Everywhere All At Once.
This is an amazing film. I laughed. I cried. Still trying to wrap my head around parts of it. I see why it received so much praise.

It's hard not to like a very surreal & twisted movie. Especially when Michelle Yeoh is in it.
