Get some Noir in your life and check out Riley on the Netflix. Just dripping with style, great acting and pretty cool storyline. I didn't see the Matt Damon movie, because, well.. Matt Damon.

Agreed, it was pretty good. Still not sure how they got away with that birth scene.

I gotta say, watching this last episode, I did not expect to see Brienne of Tarth leading a band of goatherds.

Interesting premise right? I thought so. Kristen Stewart is capable of okay in a movie. I've liked Steven Yeun in everything I've seen him in.
This movie is a pretentious piece of ****. It's repetitive and predictable and not moving or heart warming or interesting. This movie is garbage.

I've begun my yearly mission to wathc all of the Oscar-nominated films.
Conclave- excellent acting and a compelling story. The ending was contrived and added an unnecessary twist to a good story line . My skeptical side says it was a pitch to the Oscar voting crowd, but whatever.

Continuing the quest for an Oscar worthy film, I watched Emilia Perez tonight.
Every year when I do these Oscar nominated films, I see a few very good movies that I probably wouldn't have chose to see otherwise. Then there are those that are OK, and those that are just not for me. Then there are the steaming piles of
like I just experienced. It's just an abysmal movie about t a trans ex-Mexican drug lord seeking redemption as the lead. So, obviously, this should be a musical, right? The acting was OK, but nothing special. The script was disjointed and missed the mark of what I believe they were trying to say. The musical numbers were simply embarrassing. The fact that this mess is nominated for a record-breaking 13 Oscars is just insane.
