What's giving me gas?

I want to build an 8 string SG bass.

I want to build a 5 string Billy Sheehan style p-bass with a p pickup and a neck pickup.

I want to buy a 5 string Chinese Rickenfaker and modify it.

I want to build a 5 string 3 pickup jazz bass.

Yeah, true. The strange bit is that i find myself drooling over instruments that are to be had 2nd hand in mint condition for less than €600 on ebay.
I need to get my hands on one of these to see if they are as good as they look.

Consider your bank account lucky then, haha. Most of the instruments I've really wanted were on the lower-end. The most expensive guitar I own is my MIM Strait, and I paid $400 for it off the wall at the time. My three basses were second-hand (free, $325, $200) aside from my $80 Epi acoustic.

GAS is not something I suffer from, usually. I pretty much have what I want already, and there are only a couple of openings left in my herd to fill (short scale solidbody; long scale hollowbody; and Flying V). Since I'm a lefty, those don't come around too often, and I don't really care what kind they are, as long as they're at least "middle class". That said, I have been thinking a lot lately about a Fender Rascal Bass. It would fill the short scale solid body spot; I like Dano lipstick pickups (have 2 Danos); and I love the color and pickguard. Problem is, no leftys (as usual). Am actually planning to contact a Fender Custom Shop dealer about having one made. Hopefully, it will be too expensive; or else the lefty Rick 3000 I really want will show up first...

It would probably be a lot easier to list what is not giving me GAS!

However, my top 5 on the "intention to buy list" at this moment in time is (in order):

1. Barefaced Big Baby 2
2. Crest Prolite 2.0
3. Short scale for mod project (Squier Jag or Warwick Corvette)
4. Harley Benton RB414CS
5. P Bass (this seems to be a permanent entry at number 5).

I am gasing now for a good Pup for my P-bass copy I bought2 weeks ago (difficult to make a choice) and for a Tribby SB-2 (maybe very soon depending on my incomes). No more gasing for expensive tools.

I don't own a P bass yet.....yeah yeah I know! Just got started in a new band. So, my Jazz and PJ will get the call to duty till I can save up gig money for my GAS P bass. I've been playing around with the American Guitar Boutique website building my G&L P bass......Pretty sure I'm set on the LB100 model. I keep going back and forth between the Pearl White and the CherryBurst finish options. Which ever color finish I pick will have the matching headstock. Now I only need $1700 to make my dream a reality! After I get my P bass I keep looking at Dingwall Combustion 5 bangers. Not sure if I will need a 5 string with this band but it can't hurt right?
