What's going on here?

Am I the only one that has noticed the HUGE similarities between the Yamaha John Myung Signature bass and Washburn's 6 string Bantam bass?

Notice the color, the headstock, the knobs, the way the body is cut so you can access all 24 frets, and the shape of the neck base. Think theres some copying going on here?

IMO the outlines are different enough that I wouldn't use the term 'copying'. Stylistically close, sure; a semi-ripoff? Dunno. Neither does much for me so whatever...
