What's the next cabinet?

Hey Everyone,
So I just ordered a Hydrive 112. I've played through them before and liked them. I really like that they can switch between 4 and 8ohms. I wanted to grab another cabinet and I'm unsure what to get. Here are the choices:
Another Hydrive 112.
A Warwick 4x8 8ohm
A Trace 2x8 8ohm
Warwick 2x8 4 ohm
Or
TC 2x8 8ohm 200 watts
I was thinking the 8's might tighten things up a bit. I'm leaning towards the Trace 2x8 bc its 8ohm. So when I use it with the 112 I'm not cooking my amp.
Thoughts if you've used anything like this. I have played through the SWR 4x8 before and I owned a Siesmic 4x8. The siesmic wasn't fantastic. The SWR is hard to find and I imagine the speakers would need to be replaced by now.

Oh for more details. Im running a SWR Bass 350 and seperately I have a Mesa D350. Oh and weight is an issue. I ha e a neck injury and that's why I'm making a change. Currently have DR BASS cabinets. 1260 neo and a 115. The neo cab is 50 lbs and akward. Nit a good carry for me.

Wca 408 is 55 lbs. Thats no help. There is a gnome 4x8 but its 4ohms...

I'd just go with another Hydrive 12, especially if you like it. Mixing drivers yields mixed results. 2 of the Hartke 12's sound way bigger than you would imagine.

Also the Bass 350 would overhang the edges of a few of your options. Idk about you but that bugs me.

I'd add a matched 1x12 cab and bring one to small gigs and stack them together for larger rooms. I've been doing this for years and it sounds better and is far easier to deal with than mismatched cabs. Then you don't even have to ponder which cab to take to a given gig, it's an easy choice.

i've surprised myself by how much i like the hydrive 112 for the tone i chase in my head. i like it so much i let go of my fearfuls and got myself a pair of hydrive 112s. so ... another vote for two modular 1x12s ~

Be sure you set the HyDrive cabinets to 8 ohms, the D-350 can deliver enough power to damage the driver if set to 4 ohms as that's too much for the single cabinet.

Another vote for the Hydrive. I have never heard a 2x8 that could handle real bass. Heard a Peavey 2x8 combo... nope, and the Trace cab. Nope. I played a friend's Fender 2x8- it was the top cab in his rig, and it was o.k., but it was bi-amped and not handling the low bass. I owned an Ampeg B248 combo.. which sounded amazing in the store.. but it felt like I was Pi**ing against the tide on a moderate volume level gig with 'legit' jazz players. Awful amp- and it weighed a hundred pounds, too! Sold it. Two 12's in individual cabinets, sounds great.

2x12"s FTW. I'm convinced this is the sweet spot for portability and power. And matching cabs is never a bad idea (or look).

I have 2 HyDrive 112s and I love them. That gets my vote. Like agedhorse said, make sure they're set to 8 ohms.

If you like your Hydrive, the choice is simple........get another Hydrive cab. Cabs from multiple manufacturers is a janky look, and pairing them rarely yields good results.

Also, I used to have the SWR Bass 350 (not the red one) waay back, LOVED that thing, with a Goliath III 410. Ooh Baby.


But, yea, Switched the 410 for 2 112s, and never looked back. (well, look back sometimes, but at almost 100 lbs, don't really miss the 410).
