Hay every one new to talk bass thought I would introduce myself. So I have been playing bass on and off since I was 14 and am now 28, I have owned a wide variety of bass guitars in that time span ranging from pro line instruments to the el chepo my favorite bass in that time was by far my Washburn status with 24 k gold hardware that I sold back to the original owner a few years back. As far as old or vintage bass guitars go I now own a 1972 Epiphone ebt 280 which wasnt a high end bass at the time but lets face it they just dont make Bass Guitars like they used to this bass is a tone monster I have read how the neck pick up is muddy and all sorts of things on line about this bass and Ill tell you my bass sounds awesome I believe a lot of it is technique. My first bass was a 1985 Ibanez Road star II that had the LP head and was metallic gunmetal blue once again a sweet instrument so over the years I have had my fair luck with obtaining nice bass guitars at first without knowing what I was doing. Any more I have just been able to afford midrange basses in now own the previously mentioned epi as well as a Schechter Omen-extreme 4, a New Jackson JS 3 concert bass and also one of the limited run Ibanez DTB 100 Destroyer this one I couldnt help but buying recently even though I couldnt really afford it
. As far as amplification I recently traded in a older fender rumble 60 and a rumble 75 for the new rumble 350 and love it. This amp is pretty sweet for a comboThx.
