Hey everybody! I'm Tommy, just starting to get into the whole bass-playing game. I'm 25 and, I guess, fourth generation bass player. Great-grandfather played the Opry, grandfather and father played casually, and I'm a complete newbie. 
Working my way through the first beginner's Ed Friedland book and having some early worries (fret buzzing with pinkie, anyone?), but am probably going to take that to another forum to avoid that giant, red BANHAMMER hanging in the lounge.
But, anyway, looking forward to learning from this forum and maybe occasionally posting to entertain myself!
