Whats with Line 6?

Still would like a few more bass-oriented overdrives, amps, and cabs, though. It shouldn't be too hard to patch in a few bass amps like a SVT clone, GK 800RB clone, or a Bassman clone, as well as some Sansamp-esque ODs and the choice between a 1x15, 4x10, an 8x10 cab, etc. Hell, even sell it separately in a big pack like they did with the POD XT if they need to.

I too would like to see more modeling products for Bass from Line-6

Line-6 may have dropped their Bass amps and cabs targeted just at bass, but their stagesource FOH products probably work better for bass than their lowdown line did.
To do bass well, they don't have to look like a familiar bass amp.

Just because someone works in or owns a music store doesn't mean that they know anything.
Line 6 has been in business for a long time. How could that happen if all of their products were crap?
This is one of the oldest tricks in the salesman's handbook. "Discredit what you DON'T have so you have a chance of selling what you DO have."

I bought an LD400 PRO because it came with a Tobias 5 string that I just had to have. Being that I had no small practice amps I bought the package deal. Being an Eden / Fender Jazz brat I was disappointed in both, initially. The Line 6 was great for practice in the music room but barely cut through at full band practice. I took it to several gigs and was greatly disappointed. Then the original owner wanted to come see me play the Tobias so I brought the Line 6 and an Eden 4X10 cab. I set the Line 6 on top of the Eden cabinet and plugged the two together and OMG! WHAT A GREAT SOUNDING 6X10 SET UP! This has been my go to set since 2012, along with a 70's Jazz Bass with E-PRO J_RETRO 01 active circuitry. However...Fast forward to the current age of 63 years old and it's a bit much to carry around.:bored:
