What's your dream bass?

a G&L 5-string SB-2,
alder body, black finish.
quartersawn maple neck, rosewood fretboard, satin tint finish,
stainless steel medium-jumbo frets. tort guard.

that,
or a custom made schecter based off of the stiletto elite-5.
neck-thru 34" scale, 3-piece maple neck with two ebony veneers. ebony fretboard, MOP oval inlays, stainless steel medium-jumbo frets. maple body wings. gloss black finish with clear satin finish on the back of the neck. active EMG J-P-J pickups. controls - P volume, J volume (both), pan pot (J pups). black hipshot hardware.

I would love a Fender American Jazz in olympic white & a rosewood board. All stock except I'd like stacked pots.

That would please me greatly.

That's exactly what I've just had done. I had Warmoth make me a bass that takes cues from Ken Smith, Wal, Sadowsky to name a few...I love it.

However my dream bass was always my '97 Stingray 4.
What I'm now gassing over is a Wal MK2, so I guess that's now my dream bass......

I'm a Warmoth guy too, wanna share?

Warwick Streamer Stage I custom or Cliff Bordwell with....

4 string
Figured walnut top, mahogany body, and bloodwood accents
Wenge neck with an ebony fingerboard and brass nut
Nordstrand pickups, Audere preamp
Black hardware

There's more than one, and none of them are crazy expensive. They're just basses I'd like to own for one reason or another.

In no particular order:

1- A Lakland 5 string with a Delano xtender in the MM position, 2-band eq and Ultralite lollipop tuners (the whole Oval thing). Natural ash, rosewood board.

2- A 70s Fender Jazz in transparent Mocha Brown ash with rosewood/pearloid and a black pickguard.

3- One more Spector NS-2A at a low price. I've owned two, sold them both, and regret it.

My custom is built pretty much to the features I've liked with other basses.

6 strings, maple fretboard, ash body with maple top, wide spacing at the bridge and the nut, parallel/series/single -switchable humbuckers, output jack on the top (like in jazz basses).

It is pretty much my dream bass.

BUT of course, a Fodera Imperial 6 with those features wouldn't hurt either :)
