what's your favorite from aerosmith?

I'm partial to Get Your Wings, but in all seriousness the great Aerosmith albums are:

Aerosmith
Get Your Wings
Toys in the Attic
Rocks
Permanent Vacation

with honorary mention to
Draw the Line
Night in the Ruts
Pump

The other albums are not so good, with occasional flashes of brilliance.

I couldn't possibly pick a favorite song.

Aerosmith is one of the better Classic Rock bands, due to a unique and fantastic lead singer; strong guitars; a fantastic (and underrated) rhythm section, and decent (sometimes exceptional) songwriting, and cover choices.

They really are one of the all-time great bands.

I also have to agree with AaronVonRock.
Their best and most original music was when they were young and admittedly stoned.
Since they have been clean ( and i am glad they did-I am also in recovery) their music sounds like pop music...
Not saying it was just the drugs, but they were hungrier, meaner and had an edge to their music. Toys is my favorite but they were all great. I can't even listen to their other stuff...sounds as if they are just going thru the motions
Steve Tyler was one of the greatest rock singers of all time+ they were all very talented players
Draw the Line vs Love in an Elevator? Dream On vs Crying? Sweet Emotion vs Jamie's Got a Gun?

Album: Rocks
Song: Lick and a Promise

Sidenote: I finally got to see them live last year. It was a great show but they should not let Joey do a drum solo. He's such a wonderful pocket player but his solo chops just aren't there.

I have to agree. There are so many great songs I couldn't pick a favorite. Toys In The Attic is the first Aerosmith album I heard and is still my favorite. We have played covers of Walk This Way and Sweet Emotion for many years and people still love those songs.

Not a huge fan, but I remember buying Get a Grip on cassette. It was one of the first albums I bought.

Steven Tyler's rendition of She Came In Through the Bathroom Window and Golden Slumbers at the Kennedy center honors were amazing.

Tyler did a great job especially since he sang in the original key.
