Thinking about a 2006 MIM Fender Jazz Classic 60s, 60th Anniversary for $375. Tried it out earlier this week and it wasn't quite speaking to me even though it has Chromes that I like. Hopefully I'll like it better when it's setup for me. I really just need a backup instrument and for $375 it's hard to pass this up.

I really want an older peavey fury bass! I'm stoked on my MIM fender precision, but I've only had it for a month and already I want to move on :(
I love the tone and how it looks but the strings feel super stiff, the action is kinda high and the neck feels really thick. My Ibanez SR500 just plain plays better but the fender sounds and looks better. I wish I had something that looked and sounded like my fender but played like the Ibanez. I assume the peavey fury would fit the bill :)

I've thought about putting a jazz neck on my fender but I can't justify spending the money when I could avoid desecrating a perfectly nice P-Bass and just getting the peavey...

Is it heresy to want to own a guitar on TB? I mean i already own a very rare 1970 slant fretted rickenbacker 360 thats worth a fortune. Got it in a pawnshow for a steal.

But the 6 string guitar that i really wish i had instead is a Squier 51. I guess its the early p bass looks. But the pickup configuration is also perfect. I just WANT one and i dont know why. 175 bucks new.

There are a lot of instuments I want that under $400. The problem is they add up to over $4000. Top of the list are all from Squier: The Deluxe Active Jazz V (used) that I would modify into a six string bass, Bronco bass with a few upgrades, and still kicking myself for not buying a used Squier purple 7-string Stratocaster that i saw. I would use it for song writing.

Ibanez SR bass. After over two decades of bass, 75% of which has been in huge bodied, heavy Fenders, and my body going to hell, I find myself more and more attracted to smaller, lighter, ergonomically thought out designs. And most have pickup shapes with lots of options available in case the plugged sound does not satisfy.

I'm another one who loves the USA made Peaveys. If I shop right, I can get 2 of them for the price cap you have there.

I picked up my first Peavey about 2 weeks ago and it continues to surprise me with how nice of an instrument it is.

I'm GASing for a short scale bass. In the price range, either a Bronco or a Jag SS. I'm kind of waiting for Rondo to get the Ursa 3 JR P/J in vintage white back in stock, though. It looks like a fun little bass. Outside the price range, a Fender (not Squier and not pawn shop version) Mustang in vintage white. I like vintage white. A lot.
