What's Your 'Old Guy' Back Saver Rig?

I'm currently dealing with rotator cuff tendonosis on both sides - an apparently common condition at my vintage, which the Medical witch doctors still don't understand; and it is excruciatingly painful.

So, I have been recently gigging with a Walter Woods on top of an Epifani PS112 (36 lb) and a Flite 115MH (28 lb).

Having a Kart-a-Bag also helps.

Cab and amp (in bag) on fold-up handcart, bass in back-pack gigbag, suitable for the subway.

Note: 2x10 cab is now 4 ohms.

Here are two one-trip load-in rigs:

Eden WTX260 in backpack with music binder and cables
Eden 112XLT (1 or 2) or Eden 210XST 4ohm
Bass of choice in a gig bag

30 years ago I'd roll in to a gig with an Ampeg B15N and a Fender Jazz laid on top. But coming home I had to carry that beast up to a 3rd floor apartment at 1:00am. Seems the weight difference has since transferred to my middle. :hmm:

Markbass 2x10 combo and a Roland Bass micro Cube RX for practice. My gear has went on a serious diet!!! What is great though is that my pro rig, an Ampeg head, 4x10 and 1x18 is replaced by a seemingly louder, better sounding 41lb "Bumblebee head" looking Amp with a kickback. The kicker is the Micro Cube as my practice rig replacing the SWR workingman 15. It blows it away tonally at low volume, looks killer, has a drum machine built in for some funky practice and jams. I save my hearing (Finally) and it runs on batteries (Rechargeable of course) so it goes to the beach, park backyard....anywhere. It has great effects to play with and usfull amp modeling. Sound great with a guitar too. And a tuner too. As a Ipod amp it is a killer sounding STEREO rig. Simply loving my new rigs.

AS some others... Mark Bass LMII > Aguilar GS112- sounds GREAT!

I recently bought a Aguilar GS115 for some added 15" roundness under the GS112 & THAT rocks!
I believe the GS115 is no longer in production???? Is that correct? If so- A pity-coz it's a NICE sounding 1x15" cab. It aint small & neither is it's sound! & it pairs up superbly w/ the GS112.

yo, DrMWP.... what size bag you using with the TF? i just got a 2 space Gator but i'm nervous about my 420 TF getting hot in that tight space....

"back saver" rig: Dr Bass 115 4 ohm cab w/ a Thunderfunk 420.

i had a chance to hear my Tfunk on top of a new Dr Bass 15/+8 cab, NEO version 8 ohm.... very very nice, lots of head room even though running at 8 ohms cuts the wattage...

Whoops, sorry it took me so long to see this.....

2 space bag, no overheating problems at all, fan vents out the back. Very easy rig to handle.

I've neck related problems (can be awful!) plus usual back pains. My "painkilling" rig consist of Roland Cube 100 and RBX5A2 now. The bass light as feather and Cube is relatively easy to carry. I can go set up with just one trip. However I'd like to carry less still...

I've kind of craving for Markbass mini CMD 121P thought. It's only 29.3 lbs!

Went from an Ampeg V4BH and big old Trace elliot cabs to this little lot... bring the minimark as backup. Im not old yet, but my back still appreciates the change in weight.
