What is the Oldest bass in your collection?
3 way tie for me ...
1965 Hofner 500/1 Beatle Bass
1965 Gibson EBO signed by Jack Bruce & Allen Woody
1965 Mosrite Celebrity I
Best of Luck,
a 1962 Hofner Senator
1978 Pbass White w/rosewood, black guard. All original 8.5-9 out of 10.
'66 dot neck Jazz. I've only had it since 1984 though. I need to take a better photo:
Can hardly read the serial number, but best I can tell, an early sixties Gibson EBO.
A 1997 Warwick Corvette
I currently have a 1963 Cameo Jazz Copy and a 1965 Teisco KB-2 Deluxe
All but one of my basses are mid to late 90's models but I do have a Cort B2A 'Steinie' copy that was made in the early to mid 80's. That's as far as I go back. If I still had my old Univox, that would be early 70's.
Drool......Wow man thats awesome!
i love it to death
1972 Telecaster. Awesome!
Texashonk, you signature bass has got to be flippin' kewl!
'81 Vantage. I could be wrong about the year though.
Wow! that takes me back... Is that the clear one?
67 P w/oval tuners
Currently at TBer Hambone's for a cleaning/setup/photos and soon will be for sale!
'58 Fender Precision that I bought in '67. It's been mod'ed a lot over the years, nowhere near "mint" stock collectable, but it sure plays nice. Now, if it only had 5 strings instead of 4 . . .
1990 Alembic Distillate 5-String
My violin bass i believe is from the late 1960's or early 1970's http://www.talkbass.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=13700
'65 Mosrite Ventures. I used it as my only bass until 1992 when I started playing 5-strings.
