1963-J-bass, Natural, tort. pickguard, 1963-P-neck.
1966-P-bass. White Rosewood board Tort, pickguard.
I've had both these basses for over 20 yr.
Paid $600.00 for the Jazz bass in 1983.( bass came with P-neck)
$800.00 for the P-bass in 1985.
AH, the good old days.

'82 (or '83) Fender P. Pop bought it for me new for my birthday many moons ago and, though it doesn't get played much these days, it has served me well and was my only bass for many years.

Anyways, my oldest bass is a 2004 Warwick Thumb bolt on I am a tool... No impressive stories.

Thinking about an old school Fender. Someday when this whole "vintage" thing slows down...

Thanks. It was an honor to have both legends sign it. Eventhough I've had it since I was 16, I'm afraid it's time for it to go since I don't play it anymore. Maybe someone with a nice Sadowsky RV4 Metro with VTC would have an interest in a trade?
