Double Bass Whats your Yamaha silent bass setup?

I own a Yamaha silent bass 200 and use a 151p Markbass combo amp. It sounds decent and close to an upright bass bass but am still not satisified. I play jazz pizzicato style. Still messing with the EQ to find the right sound.

What customizations (if any) and set up do you have? What strings/pick up or modifications have you made?

Also I get some finger board buzz and the E and A string, I think due to the action being too low. Would a luthier be able to help?

I use Spiro Mittel with this Bass and the original Pickup.
The action is from G to E 6mm to 9mm. I got no problems with buzzing and the sound is allright with me.

Thank for the response, on my bass there is buzzing that happens about 3 seconds after playing open E and A.

Fret buzz?
I guess you didn't mean BG fret, so apart from action height, maybe your fingerboard needs to be dressed by your luthier.
I'm not familiar with this model, but I suppose it doesn't have a rod in the neck. (some EUBs have rods)
If it does, it may need some adjustment.

No truss rod, the neck is like a DB neck.
My strings are D'Addario Helicore Pizzicato,the ones that are specified by Yamaha for the SLB 200.
String height G-E is 5 to 9mm.No buzz.The adjusters on the bridge are about as low as they can go.
The EQ on my instrument is very sensitive to small changes and using the EQ and volume(also very sensitive) I can get a wide variety of tones.Important to know that the EQ is flat when the marks on the knobs point up towards the head.It tells you this in the manual but I didn't notice it until I read it more carefully.There is a very slight "notch" feel on the knob when it is flat-clockwise is boost from that position, cut is opposite.
I usually set my amp flat and use the Yamaha EQ and volume to get the sound I want and may adjust the amp later if necessary.
What height are your strings?The heights I use work for me(and I tried other heights) for the jazz standards I play and both bands I'm in love the sound.I also have a DB I use sometimes but the Yamaha always sounds good.

I use a Simmons 200 watt electronic drum amp. Wedge shaped with massive woofer posted to the ground and 10" speaker on front. Excellent amp for the SVB 200: pizz and bow sound very realistic and lots of headroom for volume.

As for gear... I'm looking for the extension for the shoulder extension! the bolt on just may make this bass easier to hang on to!

I have spirocore mittles on the E and A and helicore D and G. I never liked the sound of the onboard electronics of my SVB-100 so I put a Fishman BP-100 on it and it sounded OK. I was using it through the Fishman bass preamp and into a Phil Jones Briefcase when the pickup died on me (broke a wire). I plugged into the onboard jack, went from there into the preamp, and then into the amp and it sounded pretty darn good. I have since used this setup of going straight out of the SVB100, into the Fishman preamp, and then into a little ampeg and it sounded good again. Mine is setup pretty well and has no buzzes except for the knob that holds the "ribs" to the main stick. There is a washer in there that rattles if I don't crank it down well enough.

To make my SLB 200 easier to hang onto and not be so slippery I use a silicone sticky pad like the kind used to hold a cell phone in your car. I stuck it on the "shoulder" and when it rests against me it stays there.No damage to the instrument and I've worn out a couple of them in the last three years. Easy to find, cheap and effective.
