aerosol cans (when sprayed) make me weeze loads , i had a scare last week where i came in from training , took a drink started coughing and couldnt physically breathe for about 10 seconds , was scarrrrrrry as i didnt have an inhaler at hand.
But the whole asthma thing does suck bad i apllied fot the air force where they wouldnt let me join as i am an asthma sufferer and had to be clear for 4 yrs b4 i could join which wont happen , it sucks as now i have no clue what i want to after i finished college as a job in the air force was all i ever wanted to do!!

I had asthma as a kid, and was told it was related to my allergies. After 9(!) years of allergy shots once a week, it slowly went away. I almost never get it any more, but when I do, it's usually during cold weather. So, hie yourself to an allergy clinic and have it checked out. (They have asthma tests as well.)

I don't get it too bad these days, but when I was younger, I would wheeze pretty heavily after much more than climbing a flight of stairs. I had asthma for a while. I don't know if asthma goes away, but mine hasn't acted up in a long time, so wheezing isn't as much of a problem for me anymore. When I had an attack, I always tried to take slow, deep breaths for a little while to get my heart and breath rates down. It is kind of an aggravating thing to deal with though.

I used to be in the same boat too. You can grow out of Asthma, and mine didn't act up until last spring when I got pretty sick. It was on a trip with my improv group at school, I was running off stage in between games sucking down air, trying to get my breathing under control. Like an idiot, I'd left my inhaler at my dorm since I hadn't had an attack in years.
