When did Fender stop shipping basses with Flats?

I was recently compelled to try flats on my new-to-me 78 Antigua P, and I couldn't help but wonder what strings were on it from the factory.
Was Fender still shipping P basses with flats as late as 78, or had they switched to rounds by then?

The Precision Special (the active one) came with rounds ca.1981 but everything else (Precision, Jazz, Mustang, and Musicmaster) came with flats until spring of '83. The long-scale came with Fender 850s and the two short-scale basses with another set for the 30" scale. In April of '83 the "standards" (as opposed to the Standard Series that came later) came with Studio Bass rounds and the Vintage Series came with Studio Bass flats.
