I hate today's music. But then again I'm 66 years old, although I don't act or look old. I still laugh when somebody farts.

When Did I Become Old? (Long Post)

You are not getting old, it's just that pop music at the moment is even more awful and streamlined than it ever was in the history of pop music.
And be sure non of it is the cutting edge, maybe except for the cutting edge in shameless marketing, media gossip, earning money and general tastelessness.
Also I am quite certain that any young person who actually has any real idea about the true qualities of music and how the music industry works would agree with me.
Still a lot of great music is being produced, you just need to dig a little harder than usual to find it, cause for sure it is not what they broadcast in mainstream radio or what is on the hit lists.
I guess a refined taste usually is associated with getting older though, but there is nothing wrong with setting the bars higher or not be as naive as to eat all the poopie the music industry shovels in your face.
