When Did Warwick Change Thier Neck Profile?

I know Warwick used to have thin necks before 2000 then they suddenly had thick Ovangkol necks. When did the neck change happen? What is the neck profile like now? How about the Rockbass line?

Also, is the Fortress model the only model that has the long enough upperhorn to avoid neck dive? How about other models?

I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure 98-99 was when they switched to the thicker necks. Then went back to slimmer around 2014ish? I’m not so sure when they switched back.

I have a 98, and it’s the slimmer neck.

I had a 99 with the Made in West Germany tuners on, the neck was also slim

Fortress is definitely the best of all their models for this. I haven't played them all, but the Streamer sits ok too. The Thumb is terrible, I've heard the Corvette sits nicely.

Corvette didn't work out for me but Streamer is better indeed

Every Warwick I ever played had this neck:
