When is enough?

*scifiguitar opens the hotel lounge door and is startled to find every member of TalkBass sitting in chairs, waiting to read their poignant, hand-written, tear-stained pleas to accept help in an ambush intervention*

Wow that made me laugh. I think it all started when I was 15 and my mom bought me a POS Kramer. From then on I haven't been able to pass up a great bass.

I think I have doged the collector bug. I have had my main bass for 30 years. I have a backup from when I gigged more regularly, a fretless, and an acoustic bass guitar that was a gift. I had a five string but almost never played it. When $$'s got short I sold it and don't mis it.
I did go from 1991 when I bought my G&L L2000 to 2011 when I saw that Epiphone Rivoli hanging in that pawn shop for $150. But since then....

scifiguitar , i see you are struggling with your illness. you can get help or remain in denial. but don't go starting threads which only serve to draw on the depravity of others who suffer from the same disease. IMO, you are baiting others to help you rationalize your own weakness (controlling your own symptoms). so: you don't know whether to announce an NBD, like everyone else does, or quietly try to sneak in a new bass without calling it what it is. i feel for you, dude. hope you get the help you need!

hey everyone: it's NBD for scifiguitar !

:roflmao: :D  :hyper:

i just looked up the T-40 to remind myself what they are/were: i remember them...pretty nice! congratulations on your new instrument!

NBD it is. It's a T-45 the less familiar cousin of the T-40. They both make great improvisational battle axes if anyone breaks in your home.
