When Was The Last Time You Belly-Laughed

I'm amazed at some of the responses here....

Ranging from " I used to laugh...back in the day, but not so much now".......to........."I enjoy little things every day"

I guess the next one will be the old "I'm reasonably happy".

None of the above stuff qualifies you for an entry in this thread......:rollno:

Is this some kind of justification for the fact you haven't had a good laugh in years?

The title was "BellyLaugh"!!!!!.........not "passing nod with an almost inaudible chuckle"!!!!

Come on now!!.........where's the sense of humor??

George Noory has an audio clip on his "Coast To Coast" show......

It's a guy giving a running commentary as he witnesses a vehicle run into another vehicle with some elderly ladies in it.

The guy gets out and goes up to say he's sorry.........but the women must belong to a church group because one of them starts pasting him with her Bible......and another starts giving it to him with an umbrella if I remember right.......

You want to hear a guy laugh.......you should listen to this.........

Google "Four Old Ladies" on YouTube comedy.........

Well, now I feel bad because my response was so vague...

Yesterday while telling my friend a stupid story, which I found extremely hilarious for some reason...there were actually tears in my eyes.

So, to clarify.

I was talking to a friend of mine, and somehow we started talking about names.

I told her about how my brother was going to be named Jonathan (which is my father's name, and my grandfather's as well), but was named Joseph instead (coincidentally the same name as my mother's brother). The reason for this was because my older cousin had already been named Jonathan (because my father's older brother is apparently pretty hostile about not being the Junior in the family). Anyway, I then told her that my grandmother insisted on calling my brother "Little Johnny" for the first three years of his life, despite the fact that his name is Joseph.

And then my friend was like, "oh, I can top that." Then told me a story about her "narcissistic uncle" Alexander who named his daughter Alexandra and his son Xander.

And then I told her about my father's Swiss friends, Albert and Elizabeth, who named their children-wait for it-Albert Junior and Elizabeth Junior. This is the comment that incited the belly laughter, and the tears.

Looking back on it, it wasn't very that funny, but at the time it seemed like top-notch comedy.

I can't talk about the last time as it's not at all "PG".
The most I can tell you is that it involved three naked people, a spilt glass of wine, a carpet cleaner and very foul language.

Still makes me laugh though.

I stopped in at work last September, about two weeks after being released from hospital from the second of three major surgeries for cancer. I had been off work for nine months by that point, and it always lifted my morale to drop by the office from time to time.

I was in our small cafeteria and there were about 8-10 people standing around, in line for the coffee machine and just chatting. One of my close friends was walking up the stairs to the cafeteria, saw me, and in a loud voice looking directly at me said "DEAD MAN WALKING". I laughed so hard, I had to hold my stomach as I had about a foot of stitches across my stomach. The people I was with laughed, knowing my twisted sense of humour. Other people there, that knew I have cancer, were shocked and didn't know how to respond. I still laugh when tell the story.
