Where are the weirdos?

I assume the 80/20 rule applies in music as much as anything. 80% of people like 20% of the product. Most people will discuss mainstream stuff because that is common knowledge. I think a lot of us here are also play covers for money so we have to cater to the masses. I use to listen to experimental music back in the 80's and honestly my mucials sensibilities have devolved to more pleasing sounds.
Honestly the music mentioned on this thread to me has always been more pleasing.

Tonight if I get some time, I have to go through this thread and check out what's new in weird. But for sheer weird awesomeness, I don't know that anything beats Estonia's Winny Puhh:

You've been expected ;) (as was Winny Puhh).

The grand-daddy of weird:

SPIKE JONES:Tchaikovsky Medley Mid '40s, I'm guessing
...

Yup, big Spike fan here.

Neal, why is it you and I are always in these weird threads? :D

Can't remember if Fad Gadget was already mentioned, so I will proffer...

Fad Gadget - "Collapsing New People"
'... on a chain-link bed of nails ...'

Keep on keeping on people, this is my kinda thread, my kinda music... and a diverse range of music it is!

I consider Violent Femmes to be "wierd" in the sense that they were off-the-wall soundwise, a strange mix of punk and country, and while they did go on to become pretty successful for a 80s college rock band, they were definitely underground for a long while.

And I don't see any mainstream bands rocking a xylophone like there's no tomorrow, so:

Cabaret Voltaire was booed off the stage at their first show, probably because their "drum machine" was a tape loop of a steam hammer...

Just Fascination

Alien Sex Fiend

Love the Cramps, but Hasil Adkins paved the way!

Whoo - Hee - Hah - Hah

Screamin' Jay Hawkins
