You might want to try THG Knobs at www.thgknobs.com. They specialize in wood, but they've been known to do custom stuff. You might be able to get wooden ones with a brass cap on top or something. Just a thought.

Check with Alembic, you might not be the first person that wanted brass knobs - so they may have a source.

Alembic replies:
"Hi Bill,

Metal knobs are not recommended on Persuader models since the pots in those older basses lack an internal plastic insulating wave washer. If you use metal knobs, static electricity noise will be heard everytime you turn the knob.

If the gold knob look is paramount, you can replace the pots on your boards with the new ones that do have the wave washer.

We do not sell the gold finish knobs at this time. A good source would be www.stew-mac.com or www.allparts.com
