Where can I get custom lettering on a strap?

One of my best friends had a guitar strap that was custom made by a leather artist. It was about 3" wide, semi-gloss black leather and had his name embossed with the white letters running vertically down the front of the strap. He lost it a long time ago. I'd like to surprise him with a replica replacement, getting as close as I can to the original.

I have several Italia leather straps and absolutely love them. I thought that perhaps one of their black straps could be customized with lettering, either by an artisan at Italia Straps or by an outside contractor. Cindi at Italia Straps said that they outsource engraving to a company in Dallas and put me in touch with them. They do laser engraving but they do not do color. So the strap is engraved in a way that would look nice up close but is probably not best suited being seen from 100 feet away in the audience.

So I'm reaching out to tap the collective knowledge base of Talkbassers; Have any of you had success having a custom lettered strap made? Thanks!

TL;DR -- Where can I get a custom lettered guitar/bass strap made?

It's a cowhide with the Ostrich pattern embossed.
Faux Ostrich
When I was a little kid, I stuck my finger through the chain link fence in the San Diego Zoo, taunting an ostrich. With lightning speed, he flexed his 3' long neck to close the distance between us, snap onto my finger. While I screamed bloody murder, we had a brief tug o' war featuring my finger. Ostriches have given me the creeps ever since, seriously.
