Where do plug into?

if not sure why not just contact the company ? (ask peavey)
Well friend, I think I got it figured out now. In regards to your query, calling Peavey is really a last resort for me. For one thing, Talkbass is really a great place for getting information and sharing information and finding new friends. For another, I'm treated like an incompetent scumbag every time I call Peavey. Very rude to me the last two times I called with questions. One person told me if I don't know the guts of my amp, why did I buy it? So no, asking Peavey anything is a very last resort. I think the VB2 and 3 are excellent amps as well as their older USA cabinets as I have, but if i could, I'd sell these 810's and buy Ampeg, Fender, Eden, anything else but Peavey.

I guess you do have your reasons! good to know that about PV !
Glad you're all set!

Thank you very much my friend! I got the amp new, however, it sat on the shelf for 3 or 4 years because no one in their right mind would buy a 400 watt tube amp! At any rate, it did not have a manual. I'm just happy to not be in my right mind because I love this amp!

The Fender 400 ps is something along the lines of 435 watts with 3 4ohm cabinets, a fellow behemoth! Your amp makes more sense than my dinosaur, the whole set from fender was 3 speaker cabs similar to the acoustic 301 to the left of it! I say as long as you’re not putting your amp under an unfavorable load, try whatever you want out it could yield great results! Worst case scenario it sounds bad And you don’t use that set up! Or get a stereo rick for some crazy options with mixing things up with 2 rigs!

Read the back panel. The top input is mono (all 8 driver) and it is COMBO Speakon - 1/4”. Plug 1/4 in the middle hole of the speakon. Or make a speakon cable for it.

Plugging into EITHER bottom jack switches into stereo: bottom 4 fed by bottom jacks AND top 4 fed by the top jack.

If you want to run two amps I wouldn't trust those cab inputs as far as I could spit them.
NZ hmm? Must not have Peavey around much coz this old Peavey stuff is bulletproof; maybe not the best sounding compared to some competitors but decent and built like A1M1 Abrams.

I cant find any information on this cabinet. I have two of these and plug into the bottom 1/4" jack only. Question is, is this correct for using a single 810 cab? I have an Ampeg SVT Classic and a Marshall VBA400. The Ampeg is 8,4,and2 ohm capable. The Marshall is 4 or 2 only. If I plug into the Nutrex inputs, as shown in this photo, do I use both outputs from the amps and set the impedance to 2 ohms? It seems to me that the 4 top speakers and the 4 bottom speakers are 8 ohm loads each. Totalling 4 ohms for all 8. Except I still cant figure out what the heck all these stupid words mean!
Can someone please help me?View attachment 3272729
The top jack alone runs all 8 speakers at 4ohms. Both speakon jacks engaged runs two seperate 8ohm loads. The bottom Jack's (either one) alone runs the bottom half of your cab at 8ohms. When running one amp, plug into the top only. When running two amps, if you wanted to, plug into both.

That 400PS is on my list.
I absolutely love it!
Of course, need I say anything at all about the beautiful Acoustic? I think not.
You've got a great collection my friend.

Abrams are my favorite.

Stupid question but, could I run both outputs from the amp to the bottom speakon and the 1/4"?
It seems to me that would be a total of 4ohms stereo.
Just asking friend.
Thank you.

Those amps appear to be in immaculate condition.

Ha, no. It's cool. It's not stupid if you dont know, only if you dont ask. The two bottoms are the same thing just different connections. Do not plug inputs into both of them. You're likely to break something. If you ran top and bottom, from one amp, youd still get 4ohms. Itd literally be the same thing as plugging one into the top. Two 8ohm loads, from the same source, make one 4ohm load.

The picture says that both the bottom speakon, and quarter inch are inputs for the bottom set. Plugging in to either one separates your cabinet into two parts. But, those two bottom jacks are really just 1 with 2 different style connections.
