Where do you buy strings now Bassstrings online is gone?

I try to buy accessories like strings, straps, etc. from mom & pop stores. It's not cost efficient but it helps them stay in business.
Funny that this topic came up because I bought some strings on ebay the member was Talkbass. Are they affiliated with this site or just the same name?

I've finally used up the last of my Dark Horse strings. The shop still makes strings for others, notably Fedora, but I won't buy anything Fedora because they're the reason DH is no longer in business. 
I'm using GHS Contact Core Super Steels now, on the recommendation of Rick Link (Beardly Customs). I get 'em wherever they're cheapest. Most of the usual online suspects don't carry them.

Did you mean Fodera?
And this is interesting...can you elaborate? I was under the impression that Fodera made their own strings. It's on their website and they have pictures of them making the strings.

Maybe I did, and no, I won't elaborate. The Fedora string "factory" is not owned by them. It's an independent string maker that does OEM work.
You get 8% of your purchase price as a credit. I spend $1,000 a year at MF, so I get $80, which gives me about 4 sets of Super Brights or 3 sets of Hi-Beams.

Frankly, I don't care who makes whose strings. It just ticks me off when someone calls someone else a liar and implies dark dealings without presenting proof. I do think whatever I like, and I don't think very highly of that.
I can understand if being a former Dark Horse endorsee means that there's a confidentiality agreement in force, and if so, I apologize for my misunderstanding of your situation. Otherwise, it just sounds like sour grapes.
Talkbass was the last place I bought strings. They had the best price for 6 String LaBella White Nylons, about as good as Jason's prices. The service was also fast, and they threw in a talkbass sticker.
