Shomemusic and eBay.

Sho me for strings for my Dingwall. They are the store I actually bought my Dingwall bass from and their customer service is great so when Bassstrings went under I started getting my dingwall strings from sho me.

Strings for my fenders I buy on eBay. I think people think of eBay as a place to buy used gear but musiciansfriend, Sweetwater, music123, you name it, they all sell stuff through eBay also. There are some good deals on strings.

ROFLMAO! Right here in the TalkBass store of course! Here's a link to the strings. I bought a new set in may and also received a Talkbass sticker and a soft cleaning cloth for my bass. Oh yeah, got a good price on some great strings!

Personally, I settled on a set of LaBella Deep Talking Bass Tape Wound Flats in white. Very pleased with my purchase. And, if you're a supporting member, they give you a bit of a discount too.

Invalid Link Removed - I'm in Europe, so USA-based retailers are for when I can't find it here, or when the local retail price is ridiculous.

Unfortunately, when it comes to bass strings, that really only applies to EUB strings. My new one will come with Spirocores fitted, so I _may_ buy a spare set after a year or so of playing them in, but DB strings last forever, so they'll probably accompany the new EUB to whoever I bequeath it to.
"Unfortunately" because I really liked the service I got from Jason when I did buy new strings from him.

Interesting, as that's literally the first less than positive review I've heard Re: BSO.

I just found out today that Jason will be launching https://www.fretnation.com/ as his new string and more venture.

As long as his business ethos remain the same, that's gladly where i'll be doing the bulk of my ordering from when I'm in the market for strings & whatever else he may be carrying. I've had nothing but several fast & smooth transactions with him.

I don't care if some dump like WalMart starting selling them for half the price, as I don't spend my small income anywhere that leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

You're probably aware of Invalid Link Removed.
(The alternative address is Invalid Link Removed, but the site appears to have less products than the other.)
Selection is good, albeit not great, and shipping is cheap (and more so for NL based customers of course).

Invalid Link Removed is also good.

The heavyweights in musical instrument strings in Europe are still, to my knowledge, Invalid Link Removed and Strings Direct.

(And then there are the general stores: Invalid Link Removed, Invalid Link Removed/Invalid Link Removed, Musik Produktiv and the also NL-based Bax Music.
Oh, and Woodbrass too.)

[Just in case a European member who is not hip to online stores comes across this.]

Despite living in Europe I have used Bass strings on line as I have a buddy who lives 4 months of the year in PA so had them delivered to him and saved international postage and probably import duty.

Jason was a great guy to deal with and I wouldn't hesitate from buying from his new shop except I am now a part time electronics tech at a very small local mom and pop store and for small jobs get paid in strings "go pick something off the rack". I am building up quite a selection of bass and 12 string guitar strings and am unlikely to need to buy any for some considerable time .
