Where do you Host your original music

Is there anywhere other than Soundcloud to host your original music that is not a site for selling like Bandcamp but makes it easy to send songs or playlists to people?
I've got 25-30 original recorded songs and I'm not trying to be on Spotify or to sell the songs or find fans but do like to send them to my friends and a link via email to a simple player would be awesome - any ideas?

Render your tracks to mp3 and just email them. Or, use a file transfer like we transfer (free and excellent service) to send large amounts of tracks. Then your friends can download and listen using any player they might use. Everything plays mp3.

Soundcloud is full of spammers but I guess I can keep the tracks private.

Yes MP3's are an option but some email block attachments so looking for a way to send a link thats easy to open etc. I do like we/transfer but I think receiver has to download rather than click and play.

How about private Youtube videos? It sounds fine for free, and everybody uses it.

Dropbox is an option, but the interface is not great.

I don't like how Soundcloud sounds so much. (say that 5 times fast). The high end is audibly rolled off and the general sound is hashy/unclean. Also share reservations about how scammy/spammy the experience is, but I'd be willing to overlook more of that if it sounded decent.

It's still a reasonable choice to casually share music in non-critical situations.

Disco is a platform that solves all those problems... except the cost. It's intended for use in the sync industry, and is very streamlined, and the compressed streaming sounds as good as I could hope.

Right now I'm testing Soundcloud set to private. I was on Bandcamp for years but the overall vibe is to sell which is how they make money and how a lot of artists make money so its a great platform for that. I really just want somewhere to host my tunes and whenever a situation arises to share it with someone its easy to email them a link and when they open it its just a song(s) in an easy to use interface and nothing else. might be a pipe dream but I figured it was worth asking about - I'll check out some of the things mentioned, thanks!

I use both Bandcamp and Youtube (creating playlists for each project). You can set your bandcamp to have your songs available for free, that's what i do.

It's old and tired, but reliable and free.... ReverbNation! I use that since I've had music on there in various guises since the mid 2000s. Now, I primarily rely on BandCamp. My music is on streaming sites, but I don't lean on those to promote since they don't pay anything worthwhile. I made a whole $100 off of streaming last year. As the old timers say, don't spend it all in one place!

Soundclick interface is so dated, but the service is very reliable.
I created my account in 2008 to upload some pedal demos and the stuff is still there.

SoundCloud has that cool embed that comes in handy every now and then, but soundclick sent me no spams or threats of account closure for inactivity after all these years.

Agreed.
Reverberation is very cool if you have more to show that just your music. You can attach artwork, embed YouTube videos, tour dates for future or past performances, etc...
Its free and can work as a nice little hub for your act if you don't have a dedicated website.
