Where do you put your SansAmp?

If ever I'm changing my PBDDI, it's for a Deeeelux version, just to get everything hooked up this way.
I put mine over at my friends house after I broke it years ago. He fixed it, so it permanently resides there.
I prefer Darkglass pedals with my Ric(not saying they won't sound great through a BDDI, though), but the ol BDDI sounds great with his SX P/J with a RatII out in front.

right now i do bass > OC-3 > mxr ten band > bddi deluxe > amp. i want to place the mxr after it and see what it does, but I've got a show tomorrow and dont really want to screw up anything.
if I don't have the sansamp last in my chain, what does that mean when I go direct to a PA at a show?

I like to use it for effect on some songs but have never found it useful live.
However, I have used it with great success live as a clean DI. Works great with cheap mixers that only put out 18V or 24V phantom power.

If the sansamp is your DI, everything after the sansamp will not go to the PA. So if you have, for example, a distortion pedal you had better put it in front of the sansamp to hear it in the FOH.
Alternately, if you have an EQ that is specific for your cab, put it after the sansamp.
I have my tuner, oct, and dist in front of the SansAmp. A flanger, delay, and sonic stomp after the SansAmp. I tried SansAmp first and SansAmp last as well. For me I like oct, dist, first. Flanger, chorus (if I'm using it) and delay after. The sonic stomp always goes last. Some times I use an envelope filter which sounds cool anywhere in the chain. Different in front of dist than after. Both ways are cool. The SansAmp and Sonic Stomp always stay on. To go DI I go right out my amp.
Either last or second to last, before a compressor. I know I know... the Sansamp compresses your signal SLIGHTLY. I just like how it sounds before a compressor.
I always ran the VT or VTD last. Currently not using the VTD but I might get a smaller VT again in the NF.
If you were asking me, all my effects go to FOH because I take the DI out the back of my amp. To me, some effects sound better before the SansAmp, some after. So if I went DI with my SansAmp, only the effects before it would go to FOH.
I used to use two amps using the SansAmp a splitter. The same way I use it now, but I also ran a cable from the parallel out (un effected) to another amp which ran clean all the time. The only effects to the clean amp were pitch changing effects (whammy, oct) which were placed before the SansAmp.
You "can" run effects after the SansAmp when running direct to the board but your success or lack there of will have to do with the output specs of the pedal going to the board.
In the case of the MXR 10 band that pedal has a 5K output impedance and should work fine to the board. The problem usually arises with true bypass pedals that "do not" have output buffers which might cause some signal loss when going direct.
If you are experiencing a problem running a pedal after the SansAmp to the board it can easily be remedied by using a pedal after the offending pedal that has a proper buffer or just going to an inexpensive direct box.
