There is a local music store here called Saied Music that's been in business for nearly 80 years. The original location in midtown Tulsa has a huge sheet music department, which is where most of the local music teachers get their sheet music. The south Tulsa location doesn't have that, though, and I don't know about the three locations in Arkansas or the one in Texas (Sherman). I worked at the main store for a while after moving to Tulsa, too.

Online but pricy. I’m going to be following this thread with great interest. Thanks for starting it.
I have no problem with PDFs. Downloading to the forscore app on my IPad,is a simple easy process.

I really, really miss BassBooks.com. A great variety, great service, but I think they could not make a living doing it. Toward the end it was all E-Books, which was better than nothing, but if there was a site like this again that would be awesome.
When I was a tween band geek getting into rock and roll I remember asking the cool dude at the music store where to get sheet music for rock bands.
"Just listen to the records, man," was all he had for me.

Yeah, we had a store in Pittsburgh ( Volkweins spl?) that was a major outlet for sheet music. If they couldn’t get it, it wasn’t “in print”. And if that was the case, they would refer you to someone that could do a one off at a significant charge.
But today, with the storage capacity of computers, there really is no need for hundreds of square feet of floor space to sell something that doesn’t net a lot of income per sqft.
Has anyone mentioned IMSLP ([Invalid or Expired Link Removed] It's not the easiest to use, but I can usually find anything classical related that I want, including Simandl and Hrabe.

I also use Ultimate Guitar, but like most tabs it can be hit or miss, with over simplified and/or incomplete charts and songs blocked for some reason, legal or otherwise. UG does allow you create your own, but I haven't figured out how to share them with band mates without publishing it to the site, which I don't always want to do.

Not really transcriptions, but something I ran across recently is this site: https://www.karaoke-version.com/bass-backing-track/. They are covers, not original artists, but the tracks are pretty decent and I can throw together a jam with me, myself and I at any time with no squabbling about drummer can't start until 7:30 or whatever. (PS - my drummer is a good guy, but we are required to complain about drummers on TB. Heh.)

Also, I was in GC yesterday and found "The Bass Tab White Pages". I picked that up and plan to use it.
Also, I should have added this: I'm more of a rock/metal/country kind of guy. I do like listening to Bach, but I don't think I'll be playing a lot of Mozart on the bass guitar. (Could be wrong, though.)

Where to find sheet music?
i'm DIY. and/or, sometimes i can find what i need on the WWW. i've occasionally purchased a piano score for some pop tunes, and i use that to start an arrangement.
i'm the chief writer/arranger/instigator in my band, so i generally write out the bass parts with the other parts. my hand is not that neat: i use sibelius in the process and also use it to neatly print the parts (three horns, 4-piece rhythm section).
for lots of pop stuff, i make (or find) a MIDI arrangement that gives me a basis, and then i tweak/arrange it until all the notes i need are there --- then send it to sibelius, tweak again if needed, and print.
