Where to try and buy?

Does anyone know of a store in the Southeast Texas or Southwest Louisiana area that has a wide selection of quality bass guitars in stock to try before you buy? Guitar Center has almost nothing but cheap fender and Ibanez. I want to try out different types but I don't know where to go and a Google search has not provided any positive results

I can't give you a location, but I suspect that when you find that place, it will be in Houston.

You can always buy anything from Guitar Center's online site...new or used...and have it shipped to the store by you and have 30 days to take it home and try it out.
Their return policy is good for that.

Sure, take a look online. I ordered an Epiphone Thunderbird Pro IV on a Monday and it arrived on Wednesday. Same thing with an Ibanez Promethean amp. As long as you order and they put it in before noon, they said, it should only be a few days.
