Best ones in the good old in-the-office days were my music-nerd colleagues, 2 decades younger than me. They got me into for example math metal, underground hiphop, modern gospel and so much more. Miss the office for that.

Now it's the occasional Spotify recommendation. Not as good but better than nothing.

I came here to mention these exact two sources, and I'm also on the mailing list for a few of my favorite venues in Philly. I've never heard of more than half the bands they're advertising for upcoming shows, so sometimes I'll just look up whichever bands are playing the week. Imperfect methods but they help
