Which 410?

Hey guys, right now I'm using a GK700RBII with an avatar 210 rig and I'm Looking to add more speakers. I've heard fantastic things about the Ampeg 410hlf, SWR Goliath 410, and of course, Mesa Boogie 410. I'm getting a decent tax return this year, so I figure I spend it in a cabinet since I plan on looking for a serious band in the near future. What are your opinions on the cabs? I've also contimplated getting another Avatar 210 and rocking that, but I'm still not sure... I drive my pops 2011 Volkswagen Jetta right now.

I don't play a 5 string, I have one active bass, about half a dozen pedals.

You're sure? It doesn't seem very popular around the board.

If you like the sound of your Avatar 210, add another one.
Matching different cab should be very difficult to do if you have to market with your bass cab an amp.

Picking a 410 will make your avatar useless half of your playing time. Loosing money is useless.

Well I wasn't going to mix and match the avatar with another brands 410, but another 210 would save me money, back pain, and space since my car's small. My only concern is how well two 210s can handle a lot of low end. Right now, if I EQ too much lows, it starts to distort and fart, but my guess is because it's only 8ohms and not running at full potential. Can anyone clarify?

You'll perceive more low end with two cabs than with one. There are physics involved with this that I don't know :) but coupling two cabs gets you more of everything, including lows.

Two good 210 cabs coupled has always been loud enough for me up to the point where PA would be needed.

i'd say the second avatar idea is a good one.....stacked vertically,and assuming a combined 4 ohm load you would get portability,good use of your 700 rb,no off axis problems,and they would probably fit nicely in the jetta,,,,,

yep, sounds like two of those 210 cabs would do you fine.

Take the comment about stacking them so all the drivers are in a straight line vertically seriously. It looks a little funny to have the cabs on their side, one on top of the other in a tall thin stack, but it projects much better, has less comb filtering, etc.
