Yes. Issue is the “energy” that comes out of the port you need to “feel” is going the wrong way. Especially If cab doesn’t have a wall to reflect its sound and “feel” off of. I have a sealed Hartke HD210 cab I use at outdoor gigs that sounds really good. Markbass cabs don’t have that feel when you play them. Front port is the way to go, sealed is 2nd.I've never really been fond of any rear ported bass cabinets I've played

The bright tone you are looking for - as noted above - is not particular to Hartke. There may be other options available that would serve you better, especially as your tastes change over time.
what about GK MB112That VX2510 would definitely get the job done.
