Which amp?

im thinking of changing my amp and i have 2 options Hartke HD75 or Hartke VX3500 combo amp which one should i get? i wanna bright sound like victor wooten, which one?

Just by a quick search, I'd choose the Hartke VX3500. The HD75 is 'only' 75 watts. Are they offered at the same price for you? (you said these are your options).
(Wooten tone aside), Are you playing w a band? Playing gigs with it? If yes to either of those, I'd choose the Hartke VX3500. 🤔

If just 'bedroom practicing' then maybe the 75.. (although, if it was me & only solo 'bedroom practicing', I'd STILL choose the Hartke VX3500). Ya never know when an opportunity to play with a band will come knocking.

All that said, I think you'd get closer to Wooten Tone with the Hartke VX3500, (that's just a guess of course). ;)

Whatever you do, good luck (with your Hartke VX3500). ;)

VX3500 is your best bet. The only hartke cab I've played was a rear ported 2x10 transporter series which was underwhelming. For the record I've never really been fond of any rear ported bass cabinets I've played. However I have played through the Hartke HA3500 amplifier for many years and it is one of the best amps I've ever used. IMHO they can't be beat for the price! Good luck with the new rig!

The 3500 is a great amp, I would absolutely go with that. The most gigs I ever played in my late teens- early 20s was with an HA3500, highly recommend it. Very, very reliable and it can get the clank and spank that you’re looking for.
what cabinet should i choose? plan changed and now im gonna get an hartke ha2500 bass amp head

what do you recommend? because i live in turkey and i cant get anything from us

I'm with you now. I'll assume the Hartke products are readily available, well-known, and affordable in Turkey. We take this dynamic for granted here in the USA. Nothing wrong with any of the models you've mentioned. Hate for you to "under-buy" hence all the the questions.

any recommend?
Look in the classifieds here on TB and the Musicians Friend/Guitar center used section to see all the different options. I run an Eden WT550, but there are a lot of brands out there like Genz Benz, GK, Markbass, Quilter, Ashdown, Genzler, Mesa and a lot of others. The only limitation is your wallet.

That entirely depends on you, I personally really like 12s, a 212 would most likely be more than enough for school. I’ve even had good luck with a 112 on an amp riser for band practices where volume gets up to gig levels, it really depends on your taste and your needs. If you were looking at the 3500 combo, maybe there’s a VX cab near you?

As others have said, the biggest consideration is power and how much wattage you need for the kind of events you are playing. Vic endorses the HD series, but there are a lot of factors in his sound which are not driven purely by the amp/speakers. I have seen Victor play for over 25 years, including the year he brought about a dozen different brands of speakers on the tour to live test them against each other. Regardless of what he plugs into, he always sounds like Victor Wooten.

Light strings, a light touch, and bumping your midrange is going to help you get closer to his tone with any amp. If you scoop the EQ you will sound great slapping at home but the technical stuff will vanish once other instruments join in.

Vic tends to bump his lower end when playing with the band, and rolls it back a bit when performing solo. He also loves reverb when he's solo, often a lot of it! To really get into the same tone space as Vic you should do your homework on how EQ works and learn how to adjust your settings to different rooms, amplifiers, and musical environments. He knows his gear and instrument so well, at sound check he'll regularly sing the pitch of feedback to the sound man in order to locate it and dial it out of the mix. That deep level of understanding (and a lifetime of experience) is going to get anyone a better tone than the fanciest amp on the market.
