Which bass for this sound

Hey. Can anyone recommend me a bass that sounds like the one in this video. Im coming from guitar and don't know anything about bass. I just wanna play with something getting this tone. Besides from technique and reverb, how could I achieve this tone? Some points ive noticed

-I belive it must be fretless to achieve this sound
-People talk about nylon strings, so I might need those?
-The bass in the video is half acoustic. Is this important for the sound?
-Maybe this guy is using piezo pickup?

Yeah, got to be piezos, there's no mag there that I can see. Very sweet sound! Not sure quite what to suggest, I'm sure others will have some ideas though! Man that's nice...

Thanks for answers so far guys. As far as how much do re mi I want to spend, not that much as im mainly a guitarist. So is the sound made of both piezo and magnetic at the same time? How would for instance an Ibanez srh500 perform with just stuck piezo pickup? With nylonwounds
