I wear dark clothes, so black basses often disappear depending on the lighting.
This is why I never owned any black guitars or basses...until I bought a black EB3/SG clone.

I've always preferred the cherry--it's THE singular finish that's practically defined these basses for 50 years in many people's minds.
Besides the SG guitars, you really don't see it anywhere else. The word "Iconic" is is being overused to death these days but in this case it fits.
Black is just black. Everyone has black everything.

could you explain what you've done there? ...And is that a reflection next to the bridge or damage?
precisely my thoughts on the cherry... plus my first bass was a Global SG copy in cherry (terrible plywood bass, but it growled and roared... I would own it again if I could find one.)...I'm kind of nostalgia-driven.

that negative one is sexy as all get out... though I fear it would be nigh impossible to obtain one. I'd have better luck buying a new Ric 4003 for 100 bucks...Only two I'd spend my money on.

They don't ship outside Canada, so I'm with South Park on this one.
To me an SG shaped guitar should be cherry (I have 2 SG guitars and an EB-3, all cherry), others may feel differently of course.

It’s an Epiphone EB0 body with a Sentell Unmudbucker and a Novak EB-BS, a BadBird II bridge, and a homemade 32” scale neck.
I think that must be a reflection of something...
I agree, Cherry is more iconic. I would own a black since I have a cherry one.

Cherry is the colour I've gone for but black is good too. Think I saw a walnut one on Ebay a year or so ago.
I'm a big fan of the nitro Fireburst finish they did on some of the 2014s
If I could only have one it would be cherry. If I could have two I’d add black. Three would be white. Fourth would be burst.
