... I actually think Tort would great.

(Well, there it is, the indoctrination is complete. Do I get a tattoo, or a ID card, or a name badge or something?)

The tort would give a dark accent like the black, but not so plain.

black pickguard!

I have a white EBMM SUB that came originally with a pickguard not far off the metallic one you have there... I quickly went and bought a black one for it. However, the SUB has a rosewood fingerboard, and maple looks even better.

Black of the two provided choices. However, I too would also say tort usually looks good on white, especially with a maple neck if you're going for how it looks.
