How often do you use the Agent 00 Funk setting on the Octavius Squeezer?

I use the filter on the OS quite often. I don't really like gigging with it though. Reasons are...

1) Crashes
2) I love it an don't want to get it dirty
3) No way am I putting Velcro on it
4) It can be a bit unpredictable and is complex to tweak
5) I havent done enough work on my presets.

The Mark Bass Super Synth is pretty cool. Runs as an octave pedal as well. USB to add more wacky sounds.

I count on discrete pieces of gear actually working. That's one reason I've avoided a computer for live use.

I've considered the OS more than once. Not anymore.

Is this something widely known? I don't think I've run across this little tidbit when reading up on the OS here on Talkbass.

Tremolessence. With the Polytope a close second. The Tremolessence is just cool. Lokk that stuttery thing. And with an expression pedal (that you have) it's easily the coolest pedal on that list.

I think the Tremolessence bring the most to your current board.

That's what I'd choose too. But, I really like Dr. Scientist and want one so I'm a little bias.

Dont let that put you off. I have trouble 'cos I leave the SD card in it. Do not let my laziness put you off what is a great pedal. It is by far my favorite. I just need to spend a bit of time perfecting my presets and saving them into an easy to use bank.

So I bought a Wonderlove. Waited for the 15% off sale.

Unfortunately the EB VP JR is out of stock...

Looks like I will have to buy the VP JR in a few weeks... and bundle another pedal into the deal... probably the Tremolessence

So, one shouldn't take advantage of a feature (the SD card) because it causes crashes if used as designed? I have to remember to take the card out and put it in a pocket if I take this thing to a gig... and possibly lose it?

Sorry, but that absolutely would put me off, the same way I'd have a hard time with any camera or MP3 player with an SD slot which would crash from leaving it in. Expectations are funny that way. *laugh*

The SD card works fine to transfer files/update software/backup presets. Im fine with this occasionally causing crashes cos I don't do these things in the middle of a gig. So for a gig the card comes out.

I know it is annoying but I feel it is worth it. I mainly use the pedal for recording anyway.

In the future there may be an update to fix this issue.

If you want some extreme fuzz, any Death by Audio pedals would work. If you're looking for filters, I have my experience with the Line 6 FM4 and I dig it. I find that you have to spend some time tweaking the sounds, but it covers everything from intense guitar synths like the Roland GR-700 to the Mu-Tron III, and an Electrix Filter Factory to boot.
