Which Epiphone?

I'm looking to get a new bass. This would only be my second one. The one I have now is a cheap Ibanez that came with a small amp and all that. I don't want to spend a lot of money on a bass right now, so I'm looking at both of these.

They're both $300, which is a really good price. I've heard good things about both of these basses, too. So, which would be the better choice in your opinion?

I used to have an eb-3 I ended up selling it, my friend has a thunderbird, They sound and feel the same, they both are top heavy. it is pretty much looks on these two basses.Keep in mind that these are strictly rock basses slapping is very hard on both basses.

I vote Thunderbird. Yes the Thunderbird is neck heavy but you can fix that by moving the strap holder to the back of the bass. You also may want to replace the pups. I found the pups on my Thunderbird to be pretty dead/dull sounding.
IMO, the Thunderbird is one of the coolest looking basses in rawk 'n' roll.

i have an EB-3 that i love very much,

but you gotta fix it a lottttt

screws come loose,
input jacks disapeer
and the pickups are a little high output,

but i like it

I think it would be worth the extra $100 for one of those !

I've actually played the EB-3, and it was alright. I've also played the Fender Jazz bass, seeing as the music store I frequent has at least ten. I think I'll go with the majority so far and probably get a Pellum Blue T-Bird.

Zero_Cool, what's good about the Peavey bass?
