Absolutely. A good used Atelier Z can be had for JPY 250,000.

If you're in Shibuya, Ikebe Music Bass Collection, Kurosawa Gakki, and Ishibashi are well worth a visit.

Man, I am so longing for a Purple Atelier Z M265. I played one in London and it is by far the best Jazz Bass I ever played. Not a single Custom Shop Fender, No Sadowsky etc was close.

I have an MIJ FSR Hybrid II Jazz with matching headcap (see my avatar photo). It's as good as or better than any American Pro or Ultra I've had my hands on, and it was way cheaper imported (pre tariffs) than any American Fender. If you're buying in Japan, it should be very affordable.
