Which flats for Fender Jazz V?

I got my first set of flats ever for my EBMM SS Stingray a month or so ago. I love playing them. They are Dunlops which my bass teacher recommended. 45-105.

Now I'm wanting to put flats on my American Ultra V. Actually all of my basses may go that way because playing rounds now feels weird.

Should I stick with the Dunlops because I know I like them? Should I try something more suited for a Jazz? Is there something more suited for a Jazz?

Thanks y'all. I was doing some more reading on here last night and researching elsewhere too and I think I'm going to order the EB Cobalts. I was thinking the 45-125 since that is what size rounds came on it, but I may step that up if the B sounds better in a 130. Thanks again!

Only one factory 5-string set available for the Cobalt Flats, 45-65-80-100-130.

Okay, so the EB Cobalt flats came yesterday and I strung them up last night.

I was amazed at still how much treble end they have on them. They are very different than my Dunlops on my stingray, but then again, it's a stingray and I'm comparing to a Jazz.

In any case, I dig how they sound, less clack than rounds for sure. Still quite zingy. I wonder if they will mellow a bit? Kind of hope so because I'd like something in the range of halfway between these and the Dunlops.

I will say, they are not nearly as smooth to the touch as my Dunlops either and felt a little sticky in comparison, but I think as I played them more, they kind of slid more easily than at first. The Dunlop strings are like glass feeling in my hand and while the EB Cobalts are much smoother than rounds, they are still a little rough in comparison. Not saying it matters; just pointing it out.

So if these mellow out a little, I think they'll be perfect and I'll likely buy a set for my EMBB Shorty Stingray, then tkae the Dunlops off and put them on my SBMM Shorty Stingray for that very dead Mo-Townishness.

Just make sure to keep them clean and dry at all times. There have been reports of premature rusting on the cobalt alloy under certain conditions.
