Which guitar to put my new Legends on?!?

I ordered some legends after I figured out they were what came on my recent fretless purchase.

but now that I have a fresh set, I kind of feel like putting them on my SB-2, and putting the chromes on there on my fretless for a try.

I wish both basses were 4 on a side so the string lengths were always the same!

going to have a beer and think this one over.

I think they'll sound good on any bass. I only tried my first set of Legends about a year ago. I put them on an American Original Jazz and I love them. I was a long-time GHS Precision Flats devotee, and still use them on my string-through basses. But since they stopped making the regular Long Scale, I've moved on from them for my top-load basses.

I also used Chromes for many years. They're awesome, but only after they've been on for a year or more IMO. Much too bright for a long time, but once they really settle in, they're great.

The LaBella DTF's are now my "regular" go-to's for top load 34" Long Scales. But I find those Legends to be very similar to the LaBella's. And IMO, that's a very good thing! Here's my Original Jazz with the Legends:

Well, it took 3 beers, but I made a decision

I put the chromes on my dean Fretless; I knew I'd have to shorten the silks on my g and d - but more tension wouldn't hurt this guitar.
New Legends went on the tribute sb-2. I love these strings!!! They're not as smoothie-soft-polished-broken in as the ones that I took off the fretless, but so much more tone, and life, and a springy feel. And I'm sure they'll get smoother as I polish them with playing.
