Which Ibanez model is this?

I bought this "fixer upper" on Kijiji for $50. :hyper:
Missing Tone pot, neck was painted gloss black, both volume pots are scratchy and cut in and out when turned. It will be my first attempt at bringing one back to life. New pots, capacitor, new strings, and some elbow grease should do the job.

I am having trouble sorting out which model it is The Ibanez metal back plate has an eight digit number starting with 89, so I suspect it is from 1989. No other markings on it other the the name Ibanez on the head stock. I thought it might be a EX 404 but it has two P pups.

Any insights welcomed and appreciated.

This is my first post, so I hope I have posted in the correct locations and not broken any rules.

i don't think the EX series was out in 1989, my EX455 was purchased new in 1994. Also the EX series says EX series on the head stock.

Pull the neck off and see if the model number is stamped on the heel.

It may be from the RD series (which was out in 89) but I dont remember a double P pickup model, I think all of the RD's were P/J

Thank you for the post and suggestion. The RD does have a similar head stock.
I pulled the neck off. No model number or any other information. :(

I finished the resurrection .

I put 500 Kohm Gibson pots in it for both volume controls and the Tone control. I used a 470 capacitor on the tone, which was what I found in an IBANEZ wiring diagram for P/J SR Series in the mid 1990's.
I just played it. It sounds GREAT!! The tone does not cause hugh changes, but definitely noticeable. The difference between the Neck and the Bridge pups is quite substantial. The bridge pup gives a deeper less punchy, almost muddy sound. The two together give a nice combination of punch and deep boom.

Turned out better than I dared hope. :hyper:
