It depends what you mean by "hand built". Most boutique jazz manufacturers (but not all) use CNC made rough parts (ie bodies and neck) and hand finish them. To some people this means a "hand built" bass, to others it means they are "parts basses". However, it may be useful to know what you are thinking when you say "hand-built". As far as I know, no manufacture builds every part of a boutique jazz from scratch (ie hardware, pickups, electronics, pickguard, screws etc) by hand. There is always some machine involvement.just need a list of the hand built jazz type basses out there and if there has already been a thread about this for the link(i have searched but can't find this topic)
